Before programming your Talking House, there are 2 things you need to do:

  1. Write a 90 second (max) advertising script for the property for sale (approx 230 words). See our web site for a sample.
  2. Choose a clear FM radio frequency in your area. Eg. 99.5FM. Check that there is no interference on the station you choose.

Programming

  1. Plug the power pack into a wall socket and turn on.
  2. Now while holding down all 3 buttons on the front of the transmitter (Start/Stop - Down/No - Up/Yes), plug the power cord into the rear of the transmitter, keep holding buttons down until transmitter screen flashes 'Set up mode'
  3. Now the screen will go to 'Set Frequency'. Press 'Yes' then use the 'Up' or 'Down' button until you have the desired frequency. Once the desired frequency is displayed press 'Start/Stop'
  4. Now the screen will go to 'Record Message'. Press 'Yes'. Now with the small hole in the front of the transmitter about 10cm in front of your mouth, press 'Start', wait 2 seconds then speak loud & clear. When you finish talking, wait 2 seconds then press 'Stop'.
  5. Now the screen will go to 'Play Message'. Press 'Yes' to hear back what you have just recorded. At the end of playback the screen will say 'Transmit Message'. Press 'Yes' or, if you are not happy with your recording you can press 'No' and skip back through the steps by hitting 'No' each time until you get back to 'Record Message', at which point you can re-record.

As soon as you are happy with your recording you can unplug the transmitter and move it to a room as close to your street front sign as possible.

Now plug in the aerial in to the back of the transmitter and hang the other end on a curtain rod or similar.

Plug the power pack in, turn on and you are on the air! (Transmitting begins automatically as soon as power is turned on)

Mount your Talking House sign to your Agent's BoardOnce you check on your car radio that you are coming in loud & clear, all you need to do is colour in the frequency sticker on your sign board, then fix the board to your real estate agents board (screws or nails or double sided tape).

Once your house is sold, remove the sign board & return it with your transmitter to collect your security deposit.
